There is a place about 20 miles above Newcastle, Wyoming called Mallo camp, they have a virtually unknown motel there with 6 rooms on one side and 10 on the other with a family kitchen on one side and a commercial kitchen on the other.
Its about 45 miles from Sturgis on the highway headed toward Cheyenne crossing and Deadwood S.D. and is situated in the timber.
The draw back is that there is four miles of gravel road between you and the pavement but it is a well maintained county road and I have taken my old tour glide in and out of there many times.
If you look on the map and find four corners where highway 87 splits and heads toward Sundance, Wyoming that is the turn off.
The camp belongs to Weston county and the facility once housed a team of American and Russians who were studying seismic activity.

The wonderful thing about it is that its peaceful and quite and pretty.
:Shrug:Everyone should visit the zoo once a year but you don't have to sleep with the animals.:kpzxvq:
