Joining the family--Hopefully

I've been lurking in the background for nearly 2 years here, drolling over everyone's rides. My wife gave me the permission a long time ago to buy a trike, but I was holding off due to the fact I would have to finance and wanted my truck paid off first. We went into the local HD shop today to "look". They had a vivid black 2015 with 215 miles on it. I left after doing my wishful thinking and we went out to eat. Over dinner, the wonderful wife I have said she felt I would be sorry to let this one pass since I only have a couple of months left on the truck. I made a bad mistake and went back for another look. They are now holding a deposit while I wait for the credit union to open next week. An on line loan application has been sent. I think my garage is about to house a new addition. Now I am excited. Especially since she is the one who said if I bought it, she would ride with me on it. :D

Congratulations! I know the feeling of waiting it took me a while before I could see my way to buying a trike. Now I am sorry it took me so long. You got to post pictures once you get it though.

I have noticed that seems to be a requirement to be on this forum. Probably won't be a problem. I'll be the one showing all the teeth from ear to ear.

Nothing better than having your best girl riding with you. Hope you enjoy yours as much as we do ours. Yep gotta post pics or it didn't happen

Welcome to the family. I'm pretty certain you won't regret your decision to bite the bullet a little early to take advantage of your buying opportunity. The main reason I have a Trike is because my wife said it was the only thing she would ride on. I'm so glad she said that.

Welcome to the family. We just upgraded to a '15 from a '11 last September.
Not much riding time this time of the year here in Ohio. Heading for Daytona in March for bike week. Can't wait.
You'll love the new Trike.......

Well you already made the best decision of your life when you fell in love with a black one. Any other color and it's just lust. I rode 2 wheels for 45+ years and the best decision I made was going with 3 wheels. You won't regret it and we all look forward to seeing what the new baby looks like when you get it home. They sure are fun to ride.

Wives are a wonderful thing when they encourage you to get what you want. My wife told me "you've been wanting to do it for a while now, so why don't you just go ahead and get it and be done with it".

OK. I want to know what screen name my wife has been talking to you to under. These are nearly exact quotes I got from her yesterday over lunch.

Some of these gals are so amazing and alike it's scary.

Welcome, ride the new trike in good health. Wife was the first of us to go trike. I followed 2 years later. This year I traded the '09 Tri-Glide for a Freewheeler. When we stopped at the dealer to pick up some goodies they had a '14 with 100+ miles, turned in by a poor soul that bought it and caught hell from his wife. Thier loss, our gain. Traded wife's '11 for the '14. She was never happy on the back seat.

Enjoy it, ride it like you stole it. Ride it often, see the sights, smell the smells. Never ride home the same way you rode out

Congrats and Welcome! But let me warn ya....the next thing you know, if she rides to the Harley shop with you, sooner or later, she will start thinking, "If we both had trikes it would be double the fun!" Happened to me...now we have three; 2 for her and 1 for me!

:clapping:congrats on your trike, I know the feeling of waiting. I built mine and it seemed I would never get it done?

That said your all a bunch of liars!:Coffee:

This is probably one of those she said he heard situations?:p
Admit it!

She probably said something to the affect (sarcastically) that-- " im absolutely sick of hearing you whine about it and there is no living with you so go out blow our retirement!" Just let me increase your life insurance before you ride it!:AGGHH:

And you heard "yes dear there is nothing more my heart desires than for you to have another toy"?:Trike1:

:clapping:Yeah, My wife kinda said, "You're gonna do what you want anyway!" and I heard, "Honey, RUN, don't walk to the Harley dealer!" :D

Congrats and welcome to the trike family!

Had to go by today to check the tour pak rack and rear bumper installation. Looks sweet. Now why in the world was the credit union closed today? Don't they know they are holding up progress?

When I got to the dealership on my 1983 FXDG my wife was already there (she drove her Prius). I found her perched on a new 2014 Mysterious Red / Blackened Cayenne Tri Glide.

"Hey .... I can get on this just fine. It's very comfortable. We are going for a test ride!" "I can borrow a helmet and chaps."

The rest is history. :laugh::laugh::laugh:

Here we go on our test ride ..... Does she look happy? Hell Yeah. Now we both are Happy!

You are going to love it.
