I bought a J&S trike jack shortly after i purchased my 16 Tri Glide in April of this year and love it,so this past Sunday i traded for a 2017 M8 powered Tri Glide. So i get it home and went to put it up in the air to remove the tour pack to install the tour pack relocating kit and the jack wont work on a 17 because of the way they relocated the converter the actuating plate wont raise its hitting the crossover needless to say i was pissed. So i called J&S today and they are just now aware of this and working on a fix.I didn't have time to look into it on Sunday so after work tonight i put the jack under and got down and looked the clamp that holds the crossover to the head pipe was in the way so i loosened it tapped it to the top out of the way and it kinda works the jack will work sorta sets at an angle but it holds the trike securely i rocked it back and forth with no problems. Will wait for J&S to come up with something until then this will work.

I called J&S 2 weeks ago right after a friend brought his 2017 trike to my place to add some goodies. I called them and he asked for some pics. He said that the lift part of our jacks can be shifted to the right side of our jack thus allowing one to try putting the jack under the trike from the left side. I still have a 14 trike and didn't want to try this also it looked like the belt would keep this from working. He was surprised when I told him about the fitment issues.

Im thinking they will have to redesign the lifting part to make it some what shorter .

I crawled around under a 2017 TG. The cat is further back. The cross-over pipe exits and elbows forward .... then elbows across .... cross-over is very flat and wide as it goes across. There is minimal room to get anything in there :AGGHH:.

I see the potential for making an adapter which would snake in and attach to the rear frame of the trike and be low enough for a normal heavy duty jack to work.

Any modification to a 2017 exhaust will void warranty according to my Dealer.
