Is Spring Ever Coming???

Hi to all from N.W. Iowa, hope some of you are getting in some riding!! Its April 15th and we just had a major snow storm come through dropping around 5 inches of heave wet snow on us! And now they are saying another storm will develop this coming week late Tuesday into Weds. night. This is getting old, hopefully we will get spring some day and a long nice summer!!!

We missed the snow this past weekend but still have plenty of the cold weather. There are people out ice fishing on our lake still today. Supposedly there is 30 inches of ice on the lake. We're averaging about 25 degrees below normal right now.

Brrrr, we are about the same 25 to 30 deg below average although the ice is off all the ponds around the area. They are predicting another storm this week for Weds. saying 3 to 6 inches more of the white stuff!!

Its hard to believe 2 wks ago today I got about 40 miles in then the wk end snowed, its sure some crazy weather we have going on dont ya think,a yr ago docks and boats were in and had mowed the yard.

The National Weather Service just announced that as of 4pm Eastern Daylight Saved time Spring has been cancelled and we will go directly into Summer and there sorry for any inconvenience this might cause ...The reason is that there is strong evidence that the Russians hacked our calendars and moved the months back..

IE; March was really February, And April is really March...May will be April...ETC,ETC..

Congress is investigating .....

Here in the Texas Hill Country you can figure out when spring is by checking out the cactii my wife has out front in pots. After quite a few days of heavy winds, temps are not settled into the high 80s to low 90s and a bit over 70F at night. Unfortunately, the best riding weather gets interrupted by my needing to work as spring is my busy season.

In New Mexico there was just cold in the winter and no snow, spring is here and it feels like summer all ready getting hot and I'm afraid actual summer will be unbearable.

Went for a lunch ride with the missus today. Never got over 80F on an overcast day. Got sprinkled on twice (weather app said almost no chance of rain of course). I have a company coming Monday/Tuesday to paint my roof so hope rain stays away till later next week. It was scheduled Monday/Tuesday of this week and Monday was clear and Tuesday was high probability of rain but it didn't. Didn't get many blue bonnets this year due to dry weather.
