Some useful info on Honda Goldwings.

The first Goldwing to get fuel injection is not the GL1800. Fuel injection was introduced in 1985 on the GL1200 Limited and was called CFI (Computerized Fuel Injection) and appeared in 1986 on the GL1200 Aspencade SEi and that was the final offering of the CFI system.

The GL1200, 1500 and 1800 are the only Goldwings with hydraulic clutches. The GL1000 and 1100 were cable operated.

The GL1200 and 1500 were the only two that have hydraulic lash adjusters. GL1000, 1100 and 1800 you have to check the valves.

The 1984 GL1200 Standard one year only and a collector's item as is the 1976 Limited. :clapping:

And the '84 GL1200 ''Naked Wing'' was the last easy to work on 'Wing.

Sure wish I still had one.....

All things are relative. The 1200's were easier but did you ever have to pull the bank of carb,s off one?

I am still running an 86 aspy in the winter. Great bike, has been everywhere.

My honda 50cc was the easiest to service (BUT I was 15 yrs old)
