I put a socket on the crank gear, 1/2 driver, slowly turn motor over that way. Save a lot of problems.

Push Rods?

Just curious, when most of you change out cams do you pull the push rods out from the top or cut them? When I put Wood 555 cams in my 07 Road Glide, I cut them and used SE adjustable push rods. Saved me some time and I have never had any problems with them. I did use some nuts that somebody (can't remember who) was making that were supposed to be better than the supplied SE nuts. Or course I wouldn't do this on a high power build.

you can cut them out but i went with fueling push rods so i took mine out from the top i think a adjustable push rod on the m8 motor is going to flex

you have 2 spring you are pushing on now

just me

I always cut mine. Installing the SE adjustable is easy.
