Installation of Shock Lift Brackets

Do the shock lift brackets put more weight on the front end, causing premature wearing on the front end components?

They will put a little more weight on the front end, I never saw any abnormal tire wear which would be the 1st thing to show up.

Hey Dennis, how you doing buddy. Hope you are healing fast so you can get out and ride. Mine is still sitting on the lift.Don't know when I'll get to ride with the wife being laid up. Plus the weather is too cold for her. She's a woose. Jim

What I have been reading here, this is something I need to get(Both). Took the wife out on my '13 Tri Glide, and she misses the '11 Ultra Limited we had(adjustable tourpac, all the way back, giving her plenty of room. I, miss my back rest, which we tried without on the trike, trying to get more room. Plus, I put 48psi in the shocks, Momma no like, to hard!! I guess the shock brackets will give me piece of mind for the clearance, plus, give Momma a smoother/softer ride, by lowering the shock air pressure.

Got to try out the lift kit- Wow what a difference!ThumbUp Tour pack kit on its way- excellent products and service! Maybe we could each chip in a coupla bucks each and buy Dennis a Harley franchise---- imagine that level of service from a dealership? Nah. Probably against MOCO policy..

Took the OEM brackets off today. Will install the new ones tomorrow. Anyway, figured I would pass this along.

Had two bolts, one each side, brake while I was removing them. Both in the same spot, right in front of the shock bolt. Both bolts broke in just about the exact same spot. I am pretty sure that the dealership that replaced everything after the wreck used the same bolts that were already there. Good thing I planned on replacing them anyway.

Had the lift kit installed, and finally got the better on it. She likes it better. Says that the bumps aren't as bad as they used to be.
