I know y'all have been checking daily to see if the surgeon slipped. Good or bad news - he did not and expects my knee to fully recover. Only question is how long. I guess time will tell. It pained me greatly to put my '06 on life support for the third time last Thursday but that battery tender will keep things ready so when I am - it will be.

For now I'll behave and mend. Plenty of time beyond that hurtle. I'm just glad to be out of the hospital and back in touch. :xszpv: :xszpv:

Jerry we've all been missing you and wondering how you've been. Glad things went well and you're back with us! ThumbUp

You'll be doin' this before you know it! :pepper:

Good news!
Good time of year to do this - its too dang cold to ride much right now anyway!
These cold fronts just keep rolling in....
Take care!

Just to encourage you to behave yourself
and heal up quickly.
We are sending you some nice COLD air:gah:
Central Kansas is a lovely 11 degrees.

Good to hear you did well Jerry. Remember it's all about attitude & therapy for the next few weeks.ThumbUp

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Take your time and don't rush it too quick to sneak in a bike ride. I'm getting over a "major league" lower back surgery and did an "unapproved" 40 mile ride to see how things were doing... not the best idea I ever had. :D Be well. ThumbUp

Thanks so much for all the encouraging words!!

So far things seem to be progressing as I'd been told they would. Had my first PT session yesterday. That was interesting to say the very least. They told me this morning I'd really feel it. I do some but not as much as I will later today at session #2. JOY !!!!!!!!! :xszpv: :xszpv:

Thanks Again folks!!

sounds like you had 'fun' at your first PT, I know about that "interesting" & "really feel it" stuff, I've had 5 total knees done. Like some have already said, stick with the therapy, that will get you going quicker than anything else and for me, I fell in love with those PM machines, I guess they still use them, it sure helped me with the pain. Good luck & keep working that knee:pepper::D

DO NOT cheat, skimp, or slack off on your therapy. Later on, you can't undo what you didn't do now. If anything, do more than what is required. It will pay off with a greater range of motion, and flexibility, with less pain in the end. If you cheat on therapy now, you will pay for it for as long as you have the knee and you can't reverse the damage done. My neighbor slacked off doing his therapy and now he has one stiff, sore knee. I got on him about it and when he had his second knee done, he followed through to the letter with his therapy. The second knee is good as new and he curses himself for cheating with the first. I have spent many hours with and around patients with various joint issues and those that slack on their therapy invariably have lasting issues. Good luck!

It's great to hear that you are doing well following your surgery. Pt is something most people take for a little while then quit, I will be under their care for the rest of my life so I take it seriously. It's amazing how much your actions can change your healing. These people know what they are talking about, so even if you don't believe something, give it a try first. You may be surprised. I wish you all the luck, take your time and heal right. I know I didn't follow Dr.s orders after a vasectomy, went fishing down some railroad tracks, which was a great mistake. Spent next 2 days in bed with a cold pac on.Not good.
