That's right, I quit!
Don't bother trying to talk me out of it.
My mind is made up!
I don't care what anybody says, I'm not going to do it anymore!
29 years at the same job is enough.
I've turned in my company badge, keys, uniforms and city I.D. Logged off the company e-mail for the last time.
SS payments will commence in the middle of the month an my pension checks start arriving at the end of the month.
I'm a little nervous and a whole lot excited. :pepper::pepper::pepper:

hay Mike

yes it is a little scary when you first retire. I worked for the same company for 36 years and retired. once you find out you are not going to starve to death, I can't find any thing wrong with it. ( I have not gotten a pay check for 20 years ) and love it.

Congrats Mike !!!!:clapping::clapping:

Now every day is Saturday !!!!
Your main job now is waking up every morning before Breakfast.ThumbUp

Mike, after almost 6 years or retirement I can say I highly recommend it. Of course I knew that after a few weeks when the feeling of being on vacation wore off and I realized I'm permanently on vacation. Do yourself a favor and don't get lazy and stay active.

Welcome to the club.

The transition to retirement is a lot easier than it seems.

Enjoy.ThumbUp

The end of March will make ten years for me. You'll find lots of cool little things you never realized before retirement;
Sam's Club is not crowded during mid-day on a weekday.
Three day weekends don't have to be on the weekend.
There's way more time to ride !

Coming up 6 years for me and I am enjoying it! The most important thing to do is make sure you plan one big thing to do every week; like get a haircut! Seriously, after awhile you will wonder why you didn't do it sooner.

Congrats on your retirement.
I've got 2 years before I retire, trust me it cannot come fast enough. In my spare time I'll probably work on motorcycles for others by appointment only :laugh:.

Congrats Mike, I'm going on a year after my second retirement. If your anything like me you will need to find something to do to help keep yourself active. The best thing about retirement is if you want to take a long trip you have time to take it now.ThumbUp

Congrats Mike, Lets ride:pepper::pepper::pepper::pepper::pepper::pepper::pepper::pepper::pepper:

I think Susan and Shirley are making plans for us. ThumbUp

Long trips are already being planned. I looking forward to the day rides that turn into 2-4 day long rides. :D
