I changed handle bars on our trike. When I got it back together I had misplaced two bolts that hold the windshield and top of the fairing together. The two outer ones which are the short ones.

Yesterday the wife and I drove to a Harley dealer about 30 miles away.

I went to the parts counter and they had em in stock. Quick, somebody take a picture of this receipt. $1.11!!!!! I paid cash. I've never bought any thing from a dealer that cheap.

I had a cup of coffee and a hot dog, then a little later I had a beer all for free. I'm way ahead of the game.

The wife had been over in motor clothes. She came up to me with a bag with a couple of shirts in it and asked if I had looked at the riding jackets. I had been talking about getting a textile jacket. So we go over to look. I ended up buying one. We ended up spending a little over $350.00!! WTH? Why didn't I go to Ace and get a couple of stove bolts.

Well, we did get 15% but the only reason I bought the jacket was that it didn't have HD plastered all over it, only a small medallion or whatcha call it. I feel the same way about advertising for them. The way they do most of that stuff they should give it to us. Peace bro.

ETA: I told the wife I didn't want to be a walking billboard for them.

Oh and I do know that's not the first lil jab you have take at me.

Tri, I have gotten so tired of kickin my own butt for losin screws and nuts that I've made a habit of puttin em back in or on the connector they come from originally if possible. And it's only taken me 69 years to learn to do that. Don't worry, you'll learn. There's nothin at an HD dealer that can't be had elsewhere for less money and at better quality. Dealerships prey on emotion. That's why they all look the same.

Yeah, I put em back where they go mostly, but being 72 sometimes I forget.
