How to get the attention of a large corporation.

About six weeks ago my cell phone started blowing up with calls. It seems a local hair salon posted my Google Voice number on their web site. Now let me state that I have had this number for close to 20 years and did not want to give it up. The good news is that I could just stop forwarding the GV number to my cell and I would not be disturbed. It took some detective work but I was able to acquire another number for the salon and contacted them with the situation. They said they would take care of it which of course after a few days of calling did not result in any less calls to my number. More detective work led me to the corporate office of the salon.

All I could get was automated phone hell and never a live person. I tried to contact all the departments but was put on perpetual hold. ( I have no idea how employees are able to contact the mother ship.) So after two weeks of no resolution and a nasty message that I was not the hair salon and good luck getting your hair cut, I put a rather risque message on my voice mail. It was a recording of a women breathing hard and then having a wonderful time if you know what I mean, wink, wink. I thought this would get their attention and the customers would complain.

Guess what? Two weeks later and still no resolution. So I recorded a harder version of the voicemail with a women asking for some very unusual acts to be performed on her and the nasty conversation between her and the other consenting adults. Oh yeah, she also was very loud about how good she felt! Guess what? Five days later, no more phone calls!

The best part was a voicemail of an elderly couple who did not hang up. You can here the husband comment on what is going on and then the wife asks, "did you hear that women scream?".

That’s too funny !

when I had my business there was a local pie making shop I had the same number as mine only the exchange was one number different I kept getting orders for pies I call the company up and told him the problem and he says well then deal with it so I did . I kept taking pie orders , there were a lot of disappointed people for the holidays.

My business phone number is 1 digit different than the Holiday Inn and a local Pizza Shop.

I always answer my phone with the name of my business and then introduce myself.

People do not listen.

I cannot tell you how many disappointed guests that didn't get their upgraded suite they had been promised or how many starving families never got the pizza they ordered.

People must dial the phone while wearing boxing gloves !!!

Here's another good solution to intolerant people:

DON'T MESS WITH OLD PEOPLE. I was in the McDonald's drive-through this morning and the young lady behind meleaned on her horn because I was taking too long to place my order."Take the high road," I thought to myself. So when I got to the first window I paid for her order along with my own.The cashier must have told her what I'd done, because as we moved up she leaned out her window and waved to me and mouthed"Thank you.", obviously embarrassed that I had repaid her rudeness with a kindness. When I got to the second window I showed them both receipts and took her food too. Now she has to go back to the end of the line start all over.

I usually put my truck in neutral, rev the engine several times, then put it in reverse so the back-up lights come on.... always works.
