How can I set up a PIN on an 05 Ultra trike

I didn't realize that my FOB's weren't the passive type (i.e. proximity sensing), so for months I thought if I took the FOB with me when I parked the trike, no one could start it and ride off. Yesterday I took the scoot for a ride, and forgot that the FOB was not on the trike, yet it still started and ran. It was then that I discovered that the FOB's have a push button that had to be used to turn the alarm off and on. Both FOB's work OK. One long click to turn the alarm on, two short clicks to turn it off. So far so good.

I contacted the previous owner and he said he never used the PIN feature, so I decided to set one up. However, I don't have the owner's manual for this trike, and the Harley shop manual on a CD doesn't even mention an alarm, probably because it covers a number of years instead of just the 2005 model. A Google search didn't help, either.

Is there anyone who can help me out and tell me if I can setup a PIN, or do I have to take the trike to the stealer? If I can, what is the procedure? To see what the default PIN was, I tried the "ignition on-off-on-off-on" followed by three clicks on the left turn signal and one click on the right turn signal, but the elusive PIN didn't appear on the display.

HELP!

Push button type FOB

1. Select 5 digit code ( each digit being a 1 thru 9) and record it on the wallet card in the owners manual.

2. With an assigned FOB present, turn IGN key ON - OFF - ON - OFF - ON

3. Press Left turn signal switch 2 times.

4. Press button on fob twice
Current PIN will appear in the odometer. The first digit will be flashing.

5. Enter first digit of the new PIN by pressing left turn signal until the desired number appears.
Press button on fob twice to enter number.

6. Enter second digit of the new PIN by pressing left turn signal until the desired number appears.
Press button on fob twice to enter number.

7. Enter third digit of the new PIN by pressing left turn signal until the desired number appears.
Press button on fob twice to enter number.

8. Enter forth digit of the new PIN by pressing left turn signal until the desired number appears.
Press button on fob twice to enter number.

9. Enter fifth digit of the new PIN by pressing left turn signal until the desired number appears.
Press button on fob twice to enter number.

Turning the ignition to OFF stores the new security PIN.
