A couple of buddies and I do a ride to the Hill Country every year in Oct / Nov. Had to cancel last year due to the heavy rains and flood that hit central Texas. This year the weather was perfect. Went over Thursday and came back Sunday. On the way over on Thursday went through Blanco and stopped at the Real Brewing Company to check them out then on to Lukenbach then into Kerrville where we were staying on the trip. Next day rode down through Medina, Bandera, Utopia, Leaky and back to Kerrville. Next day went up through Harper, Doss, Castell, Llano and back through Fredericksburg to Kerrville. Sunday was just a straight ride back to Bellville. Been riding through the Hill Country for 20 plus years but never tire of going back. The Freewheeler ran great, no problems. Buddies with me on 2 wheels had trouble keeping up in some of the curves.

Gas mileage was in the 31 t0 34 mpg range when running 60 mph on the back roads but dropped to 29 mpg on freeway runs at 75 plus mph. Still a little disappointing on the mpg sometimes after riding 2 wheels for years and getting 40 plus mpg but 2 years now on this trike and will probably never go back to 2 wheels.

My Mother and Father retired to Fredericksburg and Mom lived there for 39 years so I have been there many times and have toured the museum. It is excellent and I would recommend it to anyone going there. If anyone plans on touring it schedule a whole day to do so.

Unfortunately no pictures. I have ridden those roads so many times that I just don't take pictures anymore.

same here on taking pixs...I lived in Bell County 12/13 yrs and we use to ride The Hill Country back roads often. there are so many ways to change the riding routes it never got boring.
