Atlanta, Ga
I've been a rider- 2 wheels for 6 years riding short distances with my Hubby. We're now down to one bike that I'm not comfortable riding myself anymore and we're planning to convert it. Not too many options out there for a Kaw Vulcan 1700 Nomad and looking at the Champion. Know there are a few other options, but price point is important. Look forward to learning more about Trikes here. Karen

Hi Karen..

There are many of us in Atlanta enjoying three wheels. Hope you find a good conversion project that fits your wants and budget. Thought I found a decent installer nearby but was mistaken. Had to darn near rebuild it myself.

Keep us all in the loop of who and what your conversion desires are.

Best of luck

Hey All, Thanks for the warm welcome. I'll continue to read posts on the site and gather info for Hubby's consideration. He is ok riding with me 2 up but the other day he said he'd do a trike conversion soonest but when I present him with the $$ figure we'll go from there. I hope to go no more than 10,000 and that added to our bike payments will make it our second vehicle. More about DH- Doug and I took MSF class together 6 plus years ago. He had a new 2006 V Star 1100 and then traded up to a new 2009 Vulcan 2000. He much prefers riding solo but now accepts I prefer being a passenger. As we're both over 60, a Trike is in our future for all the usual reasons. I'll be back with questions. Ride Safe, Karen

for wiz- if you want to pm me about an installer you do not recommend- that would be good. I'm looking at Champion Dealer/Installers because the CSC Kruze seems way more $$ than my budget. So, off to do some happy internet shopping.

Karen... you will need a few more post before you can use the PM service here or you have them turned off.

Yeah.... I still have sour grapes even years later.

Welcome. You will enjoy this sight very much and gain so much knowledge and a
wealth of information in helping you in your search. I know I was so glad to have
found it. I am also 60+ (female) and love being on three wheels. I feel more stable and
secure and it is a lot of fun. I live in the Jackson area. Good luck.

Karen...I ride a Harley so I'm not that knowledgeable about kits for your bike, but I found on the net that Motor Trike is coming out with a kit for the Nomad, check out their site for the Challenger kit. The trunk needed may have to be a Valero, looks good from the rear.

Hi and welcome from Cayce SC. I have a son who lives in Atlanta , he seems to like it . My wife rode with me a couple years back on my 2003 wing ,but stopped due to keeping her folks now that father time has placed both of them in a home she now has time to ride again . She was always a little nervous riding two , but she triked my ride while I was in the hospital last year and enjoys the ride much more now. We both are in our sixties and I am knocking on the door to 70. Due to the Trike I (we) will ride many more years God willing.
