Hey there everyone!
This site was recommended to me and it looks like I'll be here alot!
My name is Terry, I'm 50 and from Central NJ.
I have a 2007 HD Ultra Classic Electra Glide with a Lehman Renegade conversion.
We traded in my 2013 883 Superlow in May to get this for me after an accident took my ankle out of the game last August. Healing went ok, but not good enough to balance the weight of two wheels anymore.
Love the trike, had an easy reach seat put on for me, and will need heat shields - I'm 5 foot nouthin' and 115 pounds.
Unfortunately, I've only had about 25 miles in a lot on her and will have to probably wait until next spring to ride again. June 7th my hubby and I were on his Fatboy when a woman made a quick left hand turn in the middle of the street in front of us and then stopped dead. My hubby swerved to miss her, but it was just a case of too little too late - engine guard caught her rear bumper and sent the rear tire fishing out and me flying.
Most of the "superficial" injuries are about healed - minor concussion, road rash on my arm to my knuckles, deep brusing. But the worst of it - torn ACL, PCL and meniscus in the knee, fracture lower femur, fracture ankled, torn tendons and ligaments are taking their dear sweet time healing and will require surgery. Hubby is doing ok, some back strain and a tear in his shoulder - but not enough to warrant surgery.

So this gives me time to think up lots of ways to make Tessie "mine." by next spring. I'd love a paint job - but I'm sure the cost for that is extraordinary! But maybe adding on some nice paint effects! I'd like to get a custom derby cover, custom gas cover, etc.

So glad to be here! :wave4:
Thanks for letting me introduce myself!

Welcome and greetings from next door on LI. Keep on healing. Also, keep the NE TT rally in mind for mid Aug in Southern VT. Doesn't matter if you come by car. Just fun to hang out. Look in Forum for info under rallies.

WOW !!!!! That pretty much covers it...

Hello Terry and welcome to the website from the U.P. of Michigan. I am glad you are not giving up on getting your knees in the breeze, a lot of people who have beenthrough as much as you would have hung up the helmet. I too have been in an accident that wasn't my fault and as a result am now riding a trike, but it's either that or not riding at all. I don't think that I can do that! Get well, keep us updated, and ride safe.

Welcome from "the Jersey shore" - glad you found us. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. We hope all goes well and you are able to get back on the road sooner than expected. ThumbUp

Oh My Goodness Woman!! I am so very sorry to hear about your meet and greet with that bumper! You really took out your knee there. I had the meniscus taken out of my left knee....the worst part was getting up to go to the bathroom.... You are lucky because you are proportionate. You will heal better! I am a plus size which make it harder...if you know what I mean. The ACL may take some time. I hope you are going to go to PT afterwards, those people can put you back together
lickety split! I have been going since March as I deal with RA and a bad back. If you have access to a warm swimming pool where you are at...I can testify that is the BEST thing to get into, once things are all said and done surgically speaking.

Attitude is everything, my dear! If that wanders then sheer determination will forge you forth!
If you ever need an ear to bend during the healing process...
I am a good listener just send me a private message and I will be there.

I am so glad you are here and Welcome from South Dakota!
