While driving across country returning home, on Tuesday at a truck stop in east Texas on I-40 stopped to get gas in my truck. While I was pumping gas I hear a bike pull at the next island over, sounded like a Harley and I could see the radio antenna shaking like a leaf in the breeze so I stepped back between truck and trailer and spoke to the rider as he was filling up his bike and found out that he was from France. Didn't find out any more info as I had to run to the bathroom and by the time I returned to my truck he was getting ready to leave.

I bet you'd be surprised how many foreign bikers are touring the US at any given time. We used to have a couple that made the trip to Maggie Valley several times.
