Happy Birthday

Why is it that after watching Tom and Jerry, Roadrunner and Wiley, Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny, and others, we didn't all turn out to be violent murderers? Could it possibly be that those cartoons didn't influence our behavior as all the modern day child psychologist are saying?

We were free range children, We didn't have to have Mommy.. Follow us around like a dog on a leash, Careful little Johnny you can't play on the monkey bars in the park you might get a boo-boo, And then i'll have disinfect the boo-boo...[Or sue the park] One day we are going to disinfect our selfs so much that well be defenseless against a common cold.. And don't get me started on Peanut butter... That was the standard school lunch that we all grew up on..

I do believe you hit the nail head as perfectly possible.

When I was a kid we played kick the can most of the night. Didn't have to come in till Mom and Dad went to bed. Broke my arm pole vaulting at the neighbors, Mom and Dad were working so one of the neighbors Dad took me to the hospital, no Ambulance. Fell face first on asphalt off the swing set at the Catholic School fun Day, not a Catholic. Put a bandaid over my nose and went on playing. This was just normal things when we were kids. Didn't lock the doors or have to carry a gun then. So much different than it is now.
This mamby pamby political correct generation now a days makes me sick to my stomach. Wants everything give to them and don't have to work for nothing. :AGGHH:
