just as info to guys who have the ext/w. it doesn't cover adjustments.

like the drive belt that was rubbing since day 1 (18K)on my '09 t/g so it had deen thru a-lot of dealer serviceing. so that cost me $45. but all the insp,s call for insp for bely condition. just info.

Actually, you saved $5. The extended warranty deductable is $50. I will be switching over to extended warranty end of June for my '10 TG. Just replaced whole rear body, fenders and side panels with '12 model due to defect. All covered by them. And my mechanic says there may be a solution for sucky rear emergency brake. Parts on order for that warranty work.

wonder what the solution is to the rear emergency brakes???

If you mean the rear parking brake, the solution to that piece of crap is to remove it. Then you wont have any more problems with it.

I just replaced my rear pads and rotors and readjusted the rear parking brake.seems to be working great right now...I just dont like the brake pads for stopping..Thinking about DP or EBC brake pads..

among other things, the springs that hold the emergency/parking brake out had no spring left in them. When parts come in mechanic will show me exactly what he is adjusting. I will remain sceptical until I actually see an improvement. But hey, as long as they are paying for it.

A good service manager would take care of that with no charge, especially if they have been servicing it and not doing everything they should have been doing. The parts changers at the dealer my dad and I used to do business with were good for they, they normally skipped stuff and what they did work on they left loose.

My parking brake works great and I'm glad I have it. On my trip I used it a lot in slopped parking lots. I will never leave my bike in gear - ever.

Mine is sitting in gear as I type this, always in gear. With the security and the smart siren 2 I have to have it in gear when I turn the ignition switch on. When out and about if I have a slope that makes me nervous I use a Velcro strap to keep the front brakes on, my factory installed parking break handle and cables live in my garage attic.

When you use a velcro strap on the front brake, do the brake lights stay on? I took off my pb, but got to thinking about the brake light staying on for any length of time.

Be careful as the parking brake goes slowly out of adjustment. You might find your Trike. Not were you parked it. I leave mine in gear. Heavy rubber band on front Brake lever.

I like the idea of a velcro strap on the front brake lever - still will not leave bike in gear no matter what. Once a long time ago there was so much pressure on the gears, it was almost impossible to get out of. Since then - nada.

LRB (Lyndall Racing) are very good pads also. I love them.

I've run into slight hill causing pressure which would not allow me to take it out of gear while it is not running, just fire it up and it will come right out of gear.
