We attended a GWRRA sponsored TRC (Trike Riders Course) in Jean, NV on Oct 17th. Was a blast & very instructional. As a relative newbie (1 year = 8k miles) I figured I should do a safety course to ensure I wasn't picking up any bad habbits. As it turns out, I wasn't; thanks to this Forum:yes: And I mean it sincerely. With all the free flowing advise based on many years of experience, I guess I did get off to a good start. But the course did re-enforce a lota old riding concepts that I taught as a 2-w instructor but for whatever strange reason, was ignoring as a 3-w rider:confused: Got back to basics real quick, thanks to instructors John Boman & Bill (?). Nevada weather gods decided to make the field work more realistic by opening up the skies & adding unseasonably heavy rains ( & lightening). Gotta thank Chief Instructor Hank Herrera & his dear wife Cheryl for putting on a great session in the back-lot of the Gold Strike Casino & Hotel. Would strongly urge all newbies to find & take similar courses. If nothing else, you come away with a renewed sense of realistic confidence http://i715.photobucket.com/albums/ww155/captgt/IMG_9752.jpg

Saturday, a week ago I assissted the instructors by putting down cones and helping to lay out the drills. It was exactly the same instruction I received when I took the Trike Riders trike course in Branson a couple of months ago. I have asked to become a trike instructor. It will be nice to give something back.
