Yea, The nimrods out here call them Deer, I call then Woods Rats...
They're all over the roads... If you haven't hit one or two you haven't been in Jersey long enough.....:gah:

I grew up in Texas and we got camels sometime in the 1850's.
I've driven through West Texas at night and seen jackrabbits bigger than the mouse in that picture.

And they are still here in Texas. I think that it was a military experiment because of the lack of water in that area.
