Ok, how do you mount your GoPro to your trike?

I purchased a GoPro from a TT member and it has a whole bag of mounts. Seems I have every mount available except one that will work on my Venture/Hannigan.

I don't always wear a helmet and really don't want the mount stuck to the top of a brand new helmet.

Would appreciate and input and pictures.

On my GL1800, I use the big suction cup mount and place it right between the head lights and the windshield bottom. For insurance I fashioned safety lanyards out of a boot lace. Mine go to the windshield adjustment latches but any place convenient would work. You could even attach onto your passing lamps somehow. The object is to keep the Go Pro off the ground... I probably have 5000 miles of use in this configuration and have never had the suction cup come loose; but there is always that first time. :xszpv: :xszpv:

Here is a link to some I did at TT Gathering in Eureka Springs, AR. http://www.triketalk.com/forum/threa...Springs-Videos

+1 with Goldrush and the suction cup.

I also use a helmet mount.

Just an FYI....any mount that is stationary creates some boring video after a few minutes. The helmet mount gives a little more variety. But even then, we end up editing out a lot of the "same old stuff".

However, it's fun to use, especially when there is something worth taking video of.

YUP, a good edit program is soooooooo important. I have used a couple different ones and like CyberLink PowerDirector 11 the best. I think it cost around $50 and is very versatile. :xszpv: :xszpv:

Personally I do not like the video from helmet mounts because they are so "all over the place". JMHO.. :) I edit out as much boring as I can and have very good memories to save.

GoPro mounting

Have '14 TRIGLIDE . Mounted 1 GoPro on

front of fairing using peel-off base. Also made safety line from screw on fairing trim to camera. JIC. Mounted 2nd GoPro on rear luggage rack on Tour Pak. Hard wired into power ports front/back (no more batteries!)

Mounted Remote on handlebar and powered across inside fairing to double USB plug-in

power. Can run both in either video or still mode gives interesting perspectives. I have 2 remotes, I could run both separate, just don't want to get too complicated since my first priority is fly the plane!

Go online and there is a ton of accessories for GoPro (not all GP parts but works very well).

And cheaper!

Tip: Safety wire camera to Trike!

thanks Fuzzy,

I found Hog Tag Mounts. I contacted the guy (Mark) today and I'm going to send him some measurements so he can match something up for me.

I'm not sure I would like the helmet cam....I move around too much when I'm riding.

I will try several different ways to mount it so I can have a variety of views.
