Good Ride Today

It's been cold, it's been wet, and I been busy. I'm moving, bought a house, selling a house, retiring, and having a grandkid that wasn't all that smooth. And Christmas is coming. And the wife insists we do most of the move ourselves, and I'm freakin' 60. Yesterday I personally loaded and unloaded 3 tons, yes, 3 TONS of stuff onto a truck, drove the truck 40 miles, unloaded the truck, drove the truck back, and turned it in. Other little "chores" too. Today was the day for the 150 mile drive, round trip, to see the daughter's family. Well, I went at noon. At 9am I rode the forty miles from my current house to the new house, in the rain, in the cold, in the holiday traffic. You know what? It was the best part of the last two weeks except for holding the new grandson, which don't compare. But it was very, very good. Twisties, scenery, straights with 70 mph limits, all on a route I will travel often. Life is good!

Congrats on the grandson!! As for the move and all the other stuff, hang in there soon it'll be a memory and you'll have more time to ride. Stay safe, Merry Christmas!!

Well Frank, yesterday sounds like one heck of a fun packed full day during the busy holiday season.:DThumbUp

It's good to hear from you and thanks so much for sharing such interesting experiences. Please keep us posted and ride safe.:)

Its amazing what a short ride will do for your state of mind.

Congratulations on the new grandson.

Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!!!!

Congrats on the grandson...nothing quite like a grand-baby!

But a ride to clear the head, feel free, and let go of daily minutiae is just the E-Ride ticket needed. :)

The beauty of riding, to me, is that you must focus on the ride. As the Angry Beavers say, "Clear your mind of whimsy." The beauty of the grandson is the same. All focus is directed one way.
