Anybody using a Wix #51358 oil filter on their Goldwing? I do not see why there would be a big difference other than better filtration than the high priced Honda filter. Need some thoughts on the subject. Thanks; Jay A.:GL1800:

Just because the honda filter costs more does not mean that it filters better. The only one that is recommended by it manufacturer to not use is the pure one. It is made by purulator. When a manufacturer recommend you not use there filter, it probably is a good idea to not use it. They say it is too restrictive. I hear some have use it.

That is what I was concerned with because the Wix will have more filtering action than the stock Honda filter. I use Wix on all my other trucks and equipment, I don't think the Wix will have enough restriction to make a big difference just better filtration. Thanks; Jay A.:GL1800:

I use the Honda filter and to fight the cost i have been able to purchase them on-line for a little less because I buy them in a three pack!

I have been using the ST-7317 (the longer filter) from Wally World for the last 75K and no problems here At 3 bucks a shot.
