Gas tank leak???

I have a Roadsmith on an "05" Goldwing. I have the extra gas tank and it developed a leak arround the output nipple threads. Roadsmith is going to warranty it and the labor to fix this. I am happy that they are doing this. I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem and i wonder if the alcohol fuel could be to blame for this. DC

I had the exact same problem on my 06 GL Roadsmith. Roadsmith sent me a new tank but I was on my own to install it because there are no installers within hundreds of miles from me. I really didn't mind replacing the tank it gave me a great deal of experience and I was able to do some other stuff as well.
I put a "T" in the vent line that goes from the top of the aux tank to the gas filler neck. That way I knew the tank was vented and vented well.
Good luck with your Roadsmith.

Wish you'd have taken some pics of the swap.
