Gas Milage

Just wondering what kind of gas milage people are getting on their VTX's. I have one 1800R with a Champion Trike kit, and one 1300R with a Motortrike kit. Thanks for sharing!

fairly consistent 36 mpg on my GL1800. Interestingly, my Hyundai Hybrid gets 42mpg But we still love riding the Trike....

I have checked my GL1800 trike gas mileage after 5 complete full tanks right up to the neck of the filler. I am getting 40 mpg each time. I do most highway driving at 50-60 mph. I got 200 miles on my trip odometer just as the low fuel light went on. I added 5 1/2 to fill it to the top. That means I had 1 gallon left until empty. (30-35 Miles) I didn't buy the Trike for gas mileage, I bought it for the fun of riding it. LOL. I just purchased another boat last week, and that Mercruiser 5.7L, 250hp. burns about 7-9 gallons/hour at about $4.50/gallon. Now that's something to be concerned about. On the other hand, if I want this type of boat, it goes with the territory. (2001 Bayliner 2455 Ciera Sunbridge)

Excuse me for wondering but I'm a bit mystified here. Which part of VTX did you guys not see?
