Anyone coming from northside of Houston, you might try another route to Galveston. Gulf Freeway, I-45 just past South belt is under construction(destruction) to Bay Area blvd. Traffic is stop and go, more stop than go just about all day long, I live just past south of south belt, might try 288 or Highway 35 to highway 6 then to Galveston, long way but not as much traffic. Highway 3 and SH 146 also back up due to people trying to escape construction.

We are coming from the northside and take 59 to 288 and travel highway 6. Nice, pleasant ride and always meet several other bikers traveling the same route. :GL1800:

Me and Dennis (keepinon) rode down Saturday, was a good crowd there. I stuck cards on a dozen or so trikes...anyone get one?
