I am sure this question has been asked b4. I have a 2002 Gl 1800, with Champion Trike kit. I need a new front tire what would you recommend for tire and also would a rear tire reversed work better?
Thanks Pete

It's not just better, it is the only logical choice.
see previous posts.
2 great choices.
I may go to Battle axe for my next one.(BT45)

The consensus on this board seems to be Michelin Pilot Activ (not active) rear tire mounted backwards. I have had mine mounted for several thousand miles and appears that it will give good service.

My installing dealer used the MPA tire mounted in reverse. The service guy said they would only mount it in reverse due to something about a rear tire and different kind of forces when mounted on the front...

I'm on my third BT-45. 2 when I was on 2 wheels and I will be putting my second one on in June before leaving for Alaska. I rode to Alaska in 2012 on 2 wheels. I'm looking forward to going back on 3 wheels. Life is good. Be safe and enjoy the ride. Larry

I also like the BT 45. Have the third one on now and a fresh one waiting in cold storage. I ride pretty aggressively so don't get the 25K some claim but the 14 plus thousand I do get is worth every dime it cost.
I have no personal experience with the MPA so the story about it causing buzzing in the handlebars is just that. Maybe someone with actual first hand knowledge will speak up.......

BT45. Some people don't like the Michelin, I have not run into anyone who didn't like the Bridgestone. I'm happy, will likely replace at 5 years, not because of tread. Got a 400 Burgman for short trips.
I called Bridgestone technical support, the guy recommended reverse, but said it was no big deal. So I reversed.

I have used both. The mileage is about the same on both tires. The Michelin tire after a few hundred miles picked up a slight buzzing, sound and feel. I've had both cup and had one Bridgestone split between the tread. Dollars for donuts I'd say they are evenly matched tires. I have run both forward and reverse and could not tell any difference. Buy which one is cheaper at the time and be happy!!!!

I picked up a MPA ,having dynabeads put in , now have to wait for better weather here in Ill to go riding. Thanks for the great advice on front tires.
