Front end "wobble"

Recently purchased a low mile 1998 Valkyrie with a Lehman Trike Conversion.
At fairly low speed (under 35 mph) I get a "wobble" in the front forks. Not sure if it is possibly fork bearings or if the bike has no rake kit and needs to have 1 installed. Thanks!

I'd bet there is no rake kit installed. Mine had some low speed wobble until I raked it 6*.

Check rear coil-over settings, make sure they are the same. Air pressure in rear tires 20-22 psi front 38-40 psi. I also agree with the 6 degree for easy steering and it help eliminate head shake.

I have two Valkyrie trikes. Both are Roadsmith kits and have rake kits. One rake kit is from Roadsmith and one is from Daryl at VTX-treme.com. The one from VTX-treme is 8 degrees and provides far superior handling. There is no front end wobble at any speed and nearly no bump/torque steer effect from uneven road surfaces. You can improve your current wobble condition by tightening up the steering head bearings. The best thing you can do is get a set of triple clamps from Dayrl. I am going to change my other trike to his in the near future. Larry

I have a 02 Wing with a Lehman Monarch kit. I also had the low speed wobble. Put on new tires didnt help. Rake kit with bearings installed didnt help. Fork brace didnt help. Finally broke down and bought a Seeley Shimmy Damper. No More Wobble at any speed!

If you talk with Walt he is able to order them in different colors. I ordered one thats blue (Instead of gold/black) to match my blue Wing.

Most of the time loose steering head bearings are the problem. When you add a raked tree you also add new bearings and you torque them properly..........taking care of the wobble. You could just add new all-balls bearing to your stock tree and see a vast improvement but if your going to pull the tree you might as well install a raked tree (if finances can handle it ). All-balls is a brand name of bearings that are tapered bearings instead of the poorly made round Honda bearings. I have changed out close to 20 sets for buddies over the last 5 years and even bought the Honda tool to fit the top nut.
