Front Disc Brakes on a V8 Trike

This is for all the trikers who have a car wheel and tire on the front end and added custom disc brakes---

I am wondering the best way to mount the disc brake calipers---

Are the calipers mounted SOLID on the forks or do they "Float" ?

Any help is appreciated.
