I had a 20 inch and it was too high, I am 5 ft 11 do yourself a favor. don't get a windshield from Harley. get a Memphis shades batwing fairing with a 9 inch windscreen better protection looks good and no buffeting

I'm 6' I had the Harley 16" on it, looked over the top about 6" wind beating me in the face! I replaced the 16" plastic with a 19" Clearview replacement extra wide with curved top. I now look over it about 1.5" and the top curve blows the wind over my head. Very nice replacement Part from clearviewshields.com

I had a Harley windshield, then I upgraded to a Clearview! It's about twice as thick as the Harley shield and it doesn't flex at highway speeds like the Harley shield. Clearview website has instructions on how to measure for a windshield. There's a couple youtube videos too!

I'm 5' 9" and the 20" Harley shield was to tall for me, tried a Longride shield and liked it but currently have a Clearview and I like it best.

Remember, you are supposed to look OVER it, not through it. It should be no higher than your nose, an inch or two lower would be better. It is supposed to divert the wind over your head. The stuff that gets in your face and blows your mustache up your nostrils usually is coming behind your windshield. You can spend a bunch for wind deflectors if it really bothers you that much..... or drive a car, they are cheaper than your motorcycle anyway.

NOW, you are going to hear about wind buffeting and such. Remember, you are on a motorcycle and if you go faster than 10mph you will get wind. If the wind blows your glasses off, get tighter glasses or a head band. If your helmet rattles on your head, it is too loose. If things like this bother you to the point of writing about them, you are really going to get mad when you get caught in the rain, go through a puddle, or get stuck behind a bus or truck.
