Hi all

Ive been looking at wheels for my freewheeler. My question is, what is the biggest size that can be fitted without major changes, and what effects or benefits do larger wheels have?

I have very limited mechanical experience hence my question.

Thanks for reading, and giving your opinions.

Posted to soon.... sorry

The width (if you retain the fenders) is limited by the interior dimension of the fenders. If your just remove the fenders... You can do this...

Hi Jeff

I did read your thread for the conversion. It’s very impressive mate, and looks so good.

Yeah I guessed the fenders would need to go really for a wider wheel. Is it a big job to do something like the second pics? (I’m as mechanically minded as a fish).

I guess it’s purely for looks I’d want to do it. How do you find the handling with huge tyres. Are you not seriously slowed down?

It handles great. No troubles at all really.

Jack, I will give you an "AMEN" on the tire growth comment! My fenders came off and they are rubbed naked underneath.... likely have to do a repaint on them after modification.

Going to ride without them like I did last Fall. I will mod and re-install in March 2020.... of course that all depends on how long I have to wait for paint :Dorag:

Wonder how they would look chromed ......

Chromed would be cool and blinding:p

As your Trike Evolves it is a never ending work of art= PRICELESS

I’m with you there Jack

Im new to riding and I didn’t anticipate what would happen after buying my first Freewheeler. I guess I thought I’d achieved it ha.

Then I started looking at all the aftermarket add ons. I’ve spent a small fortune already, and the list is getting longer.

Seeing things like big wheels doesn’t help haha.

What about just powder coating them. My eyes went to the tank/body, then engine & front end.

Gloss black, black chrome. Fire up your Photoshop and give it a try.:)
