If I install a set of 1.5 inch rizers caps on my wings forks. will this stiffen the ride of the forks to be stiffer?
Would like to raise the front up for more ground clearence on my 6 degree rake RS.

No, this would only raise the front end(more clearance).
To stiffen the front forks, you would need to add TRAXXION (or other) suspension and/or a FORK BRACE(SUPER BRACE).

Fork tube extensions 1.5"

I had Traxxion fork springs on my GL1800 CSC CobraXL conversion and it was too stiff. Switched to Progressive springs with 7 wt oil in the forks and added the tube extensions. The whole front end changed and it's perfect for me. Gave me an additional 1" of ground clearance and the forks perform just great. BTW I don't have a fork brace on mine. (might add one in the future.) Have 20K miles on my trike now. LOve it.

I've got a 2014 Hannigan kit on my 12 Wing. It has Progressive springs. Rides rough as a cobb. Actually broke my fender in 2 places. Took the spacers out of the forks, changed the fork oil, still rides rough as a cobb. Talked with Hannigan twice and they seem as perplexed as I am. Only had 6000 miles when the kit was installed and only has 21000 now. Bushings couldn't have worn out in 6000 miles, that's for sure. My installer told me last year it would get better but it hasn't. Frustrating...My BT 45 is totally cupped on the right side of the tire also.At only 13k.

You most likely already have the risers. Every rake kit I have installed included the risers. I seem to recall someone offering two inch caps but for the life of me can't remember who. Hope you get it working the way you want. :xszpv::xszpv:

this sounds like an antidive valve locked up. Disable the antidive and see if that doesn't solve your problem.

My hog halter tree came with 2" extensions to level the front end after raking.

If I were in the market for anything front end related I would contact the boss, Bazooka, he's the man and he's kind of smart too.

If your not in a hurry I need to replace my hog halter triple trees and it comes with 2" fork extensions, you may as well have them.

Gonna take some time before I get them off.

Paul, I'm wondering if your HD forks would use the same risers as his Goldwing. That being said, I think my original response was in error. I believe he already has 2" risers..... So, he'd need to co even longer. Sounds like a fork brace would also be a wise investment..... :xszpv::xszpv:

you know I really don't know a darn thing about a gold wing, My risers would fit a 41mm fork but I don't know if they would fit a Honda.

I believe you would be better to advise him about a fork brace except to say that extra support on a front end really cant hurt anything and if it makes any difference at all its worth it.

Yup, that would not work.... GL1800 forks are 45mm.

My thoughts on the OP needing a fork brace (especially if he goes even longer) come from personal experience and several members convincing me I really need to try them. I always thought the GL1800 felt like it was on rails in a curve so I resisted the concept of needing more support. Even after converting to three wheels I didn't consider it with the '06 Motor Trike and 4.5 degree rake. Along comes the 2015 Roadsmith with the 6 degree rake and things felt different. The front end just felt mushy in curves. The Kuryakyn fork brace I installed restored the solid well planted feeling. I especially noticed that encountering rough roads in high speed sweepers did not cause me to suck up my seat any longer!!! :clapping: So, YES, that extra support is WORTH IT!!! :xszpv::xszpv:

BUT - A fork Brace of any brand does NOT add length to the front end forks..... for increased height. That has to be done one of three ways.... Internally with stiffer springs which most find worse or by changing the internals out to Traxxion AK20 Cartridges or Race Tech / or with Extensions that generally come with your Rake kit ( remember that not all rake kits extensions are built the same, Brand specific) / and the last way is by ordering longer fork legs but this also alters all internals as springs will be longer, may need extensions for the springs and not sure if anyone makes longer KITS like AK20's or Race Tech by length for the 45MM tubes or who even makes Goldwing tubes longer...??? I did this on Harleys all the time..... Just some FYI
