I have a older straight axle conversion on my 2008 HD and while we were in Arkansas last week the right fender brace broke where it bolts on the frame. In my opinion it was clearly a defective part and they machined the bolt slot so large they left very little material to support the bracket. I contacted Motor Trike and they told me the part was available and it was 10 bucks, they said they do not sell direct to owners and that I would have to contact a dealer, but they would be happy to drop ship it to me.

I contacted Gene's Gallery in Springfield, Mo and they told me 10 bucks for the part 15 shipping to them and 15 shipping to me. I told them what Motor Trike told me and got no response back. So this morning I dropped the part off at a local welding shop and just got a call it's ready. 20 bucks to weld it and build up the area that broke. Just don't understand how dealers can treat customers like this, 40 bucks for a 10 dollar part is pure ass ripe off in my opinion..

SHAME ON YOU MOTOR TRIKE I guess you don't realize that sending a free 10 dollar part and include the shipping could make you thousands of dollars in mouth to mouth advertising. Myself I would never deal with a company like yours. For example I bought a batwing fairing for my freewheeler. After two years I lost a nut and bolt that held the windshield on. I phoned Memphis shades from Canada asked to buy a bolt. They sent me Three bolts free of charge and paid the shipping. Since then I tell every one about them

Agree 100% to that!

I totally agree, the rule of 200 is not a joke. According to a book I read several years ago, written by the guy that held the car sales world record for a number of years. Everyone knows 200 people by name, and if you tell them and they tell their 200 before long the word is out. I am not upset at Motor Trike as bad as I am at Gene's Gallery. I have the email from Motor Trike saying they will drop ship. Gene's just wanted to make 15 bucks more than what the part cost them. All is well Aguillo's Welding in Sunrise Beach, Mo did a great job of welding it quickly and it looks great..
