Exhaust removal

Hi,

I'm "blacking out" the engine and have to remove the right exhaust.

I was wondering if I can remove the pipes by disconnecting the exhaust at the crossover pipe, leaving the crossover pipe and left muffler in place instead of having to remove the whole system.

Thanks,

Jon

Don’t know , might be a bear to remove from the right muffler . My 12 is a one piece header welded at the cat joint/collector.

You will have to remove the crossover and clamp. Might be able to do so while still attached to the left muffler without dropping the muffler. Use WD40 or similar at pipe connections. Drop the right muffler and pipe and don't forget the O2 sensors. Right rider footboard too.
