Well, we had several goals we wanted to achieve at the Rally.
1. Meet new friends and have a good time - and that we did!!!
2. Ride some twisties with the trike - and that we did.
3. See the Great Passion Play - and that we did.
4. Long distance run using the flare windshield - worked good.
5. Long distance shake-down run on the new Roadsmith trike - Ummm, well, we did it, but had issues.

Eureka Springs is about 550 miles one-way from our house. We got to within 40 miles of home yesterday afternoon and the right side exhaust pipe and resonator fell off!!! And the left side was also loose and fixing to come off. Fortunately, the assembly got hung up in in the trike's framework and was dragging. IF it had totally come out, it would have probably gone under the trailer causing even more damage or a serious safety hazard. A Harley rider and his wife stopped to help us. With some tie wire and vice grips, we managed to temporarily hang it back on there enough to get us home. I spent most of the evening putting it back on properly and tightening up the other side. The Roadsmith kit is a nice conversion and this is obviously not their fault, but I'm beginning to think they should ask their installers to toss in plenty of bubble gum and a couple rolls of tie-wire just as a good-will gesture....lol. I've gone back over this thing again and cannot find anything else loose. Everything else worked good on the trip. Hopefully, that is the end of the issues....I hope.

Sorry you had a problem going home Larry!! Sounds like the installer forgot to tighten something up..... BUMMER !!

I came all the way in on Thursday. Got an earlier then intended start and by the time I though about stopping it was only a couple hours more so I did a mini Iron Butt....

I had a Great time jawing with you and your bride. If you decide to come west I'll still be here in San Angelo. :xszpv: :xszpv:

Yep. It's just been one thing after another with this conversion. It's quite a list! None of it Roadsmith, all of it has been the installer. Hopefully, with this, I've got everything else taken care of. Speaking of Ironbutt; I'm thinking of running both the 1000 and the 1500 all together maybe in the Fall. I planned on using the trike to do it, but I'm still kinda "gun shy" about the reliability of it. I may use the Yamaha FJR instead.
Not sure of the route(s) yet, but if I head westward, I'll look ya up.
Stay safe,
LJ
