Enabled Trikers: Welcome to our newest forum!

Not to rain on your parade Teskimo, but riding a sidehack requires greater upper body (arm) strength than a properly set up trike.
I'm a T6 paraplegic & own both however my sidehack has basically sat the past two summers as the trike is much easier for me to physically ride/enjoy, safely.
Perhaps there are others that you can seek out down under that might let you try both.

It sounds like you have the desire to ride again, & as long as you keep that fire going inside, you can overcome obstacles & get back to doing what you enjoy.
Best of luck to you...

In '78 I have was taken off my bike head on by a drunk driver. Other than a totaled bike, I considered myself lucky as per the police report, I landed 150 ft from my bike. I sustained a fractured ankle, solid bruise on entire left side of my body and an amputeted left arm.
I have always wanted to get back on but knew I couldn't fix normally. With more and more trike showing up, I started looking at riding again.
I have found what looks like the frame from a racing sidecar from the nineties with the car attached. Would be a project but original as. Will post if I can get it.

Here is a link that might be helpful.

Great link vw driver. ThumbUp
I hope it gets read by a lot of folks that are interested in continuing riding after their injury. There are many sources for adaptive accessories, as well as complete bike remodeling shops to choose from.
I will pass it along to my contacts as well...
