but afer reading on the board,,,, i seem to have the same probleme,, driveshaft to shorth,,,,

ok the probleme is the drive shaft assy,,, ok, then it should be guarante, even if he broke after 3 years,,,,motor trike should take it on his hand,,,and not just repkaced it but replaced it with one ,,,(modified)

that driveshaft is just not made strong enough,,,,to shorth, etc,,,,can somebody tell me what is the price of the driveshaft assy,

yes yes yes,,, i like my trike,,,,(nothing perfect in this world)[/QUOTE]

ti-rogue posted the exact thing on another board. Here is my response.

At the risk of getting flamed I'm gonna jump in here and ask for calmer minds.

There seems to be a feeding frenzy biginning and I'm not too sure it's warranted just yet. Come on guys. There are hundreds of GL1800 adventure kits out there already and so far I've only heard of mybe five or six that think they (we) have a problem. I agree that Motor Trike should step up and do what is right if there is a problem. Have any of you actually considered they may be right and it really is secondary issues causing the vibration???

I'd guess you know I am in the process of trying to help sort this issue out but can't do anything until my hernia surgery mends. I got the new drive shaft assembly today but won't even try any install for another two weeks and even then it will depend on my healing. After I've had a chance to evaluate and report then you all can make better informed decissions...

Thanks for the patience. You all can do what you want but poking a hornet nest is not always the best solution...

Thank You... To be honest I have no idea how this will all wash out. All I know is we all need to make it work if possible. As I've said a few times now as soon as I heal well enough not to endanger my hernia operation I will get busy.

I can report one thing already. I received the new drive shaft assembly yesterday and the front U-Joint assmebly is slightly different from the one currently installed. I asked Richard about it and he said that was an improved design from the initial ones and it was even possible a further redesign could happen (nothing in the plans right now). I don't see any functional difference with the new U-Joint so it will be interesting to see what happens in a couple weeks.

Stay tuned for updates.
