Driver back rest switch

Adjustable back rest

Isn't that the suggested factory location ?

Yes it is. The adjustable model is the only one HD shows for the Tri-Glide, and the adjuster mounts where the left side heat deflector mounts (under it). That is where I installed mine and it works fine. It is a little hard to reach to make adjustments, but you get use to it.

Bet you didn't see the secret code then ..............

That's the kit. Instructions show it there also.

Since the original question was answered, I'd like to make a quick hi-jack. Does anyone have just the plastic part with the lever they would part with? Mine melted :xszpv: ,and Harley doesn't sell that part separately, only the whole assembly.

Wow....that's an expensive part too. I'd be trying to do some jury rigging as best I could. Harley really has you over a barrel on that part. It's way overpriced in my opinion. But that can be said about just about anything made by Harley.

If you have to buy new, the best you can do is 'House of Harley'. They sell most of their parts at about a 15% discount from MSRP. My dealership won't come down a penny, even when I show them it's another Harley shop I'm buying from with free shipping and no tax.
