I have an `04 Dodge 3500 5.9 Cummings thats my daily driver. Its a good truck, gets decent fuel mileage and pulls like a mule when I need it too. I also bought an `03 Dodge 3500 because we needed another truck to pull our pickup and delivery trailers with. Its a 6 speed with the same 5.9 Cummings Diesel my other truck has but I got a deal on it cause it has some blowby. The trucks only got 125k so Im not sure why the blowby, but its there. Anyone rebuild one of these and know what it costs, or had one rebuilt? Better yet, anyone know of a used 5.9 Cummings for sale?

I also have a 3500 Cummins Dodge and from what I hear, your problem would be rather unusual with that mileage. I would recommend an excellent site, dieselram.com , and post your question. Like this site, they have a lot of very knowledgeable people who would be able to help. Good luck.
