Did anyone Notice

Hi there Peoples:
Well I brought my Hannigan trike home today, only about 15miles but in 34F weather it was a bit nippy. Now wouldn't ya know our good weather turned crap once again. Suppose to be cold here for the next week or so. But anyways here what I am talken about it seems like with the rake kit it dropped my windshield down about 3 to 4 inches now. I use to have to look through the top part but I noticed on the way home it was down below eye level probably about nose level now which is good for I had intended to trim it. One job less to do. Anyways its tarped up for now and hopefully we don't get much snow.

Congratulations on your new baby, Lightnen! Spring will be here soon, and you can get lots of miles in.

I don't know if it dropped 3 to 4 inches - but I can see over the windshield now with the stock seat. I have the Travelcade Roadsofa seat that I use on the road - and it definitely is about 3 to 4 inches over the windshied. This is because the seat is design that way. I'm 5' 11'' tall.

Cold or not I bet your still grining or is that smile still frozen. ;-)
Now let the mods begin.
On the windshield height I think you do lose a little when the front is raked. I just recieved a new Clearview shield yesterday to compensate for that.
Nice lookin chariot....You can get a taller winshield. I would put a few hundred miles on your new toy, and see how the wind protection is-it may be just fine. One thing is for sure, the trade off is worth it, and if you need a taller shield...just drop anothe hundy and you be perfect!

Welcome. Nice looking trike. Since it sounds like you park outdoors, like me. Hope you have a good synthetic oil for that easy cold weather starting. I get my best gloves and mittens up that way. Go Canadian Tire.:qpnmt::Congrats:

Yes for now I'm parking out front of house, have my car cover over it for now. Waiting for my dealer to get the RSV trike covers in, soon I hope.
Larry its been to cold here to get out and start some mods. but have the clearance lights in plus the resistors & diodes for the hook ups. Still waiting on some LEDs but should be here soon. About the windshield, it did bug me some when it rained and couldn't see all that well, maybe with it lowered like ya say I might find it better. If it wasn't for the new salts on the roads here I'd be riding this weekend cold or not.. LOL.. Looken for rain to wash them there roads..
I ain't a very mechanical person but I do not see how a properly installed kit would lower the windscreen or the front end by that much. My RSV trike did not drop the front end or windshield when it was converted with the Hannigan ez-steer.

it's just tilted back a bit more. as when you do the rake your forks are
pushed out farther. in return tilts the screen back a bit. not being
more upright like it used to be before the rake.

yup Cougar thats it alright, had her out last Sat. couldn't wait any longer. I did like some of the pro's mentioned here in forums I put a new tire on front (reversed back tire) really noticed the difference on first corner. The wind shield thingy seems to be fine so will leave for now anyways. Can't wait to get at it once again maybe tomorrow its suppose to be up into the high 50's..

First of all---CONGRATS!! As what Larry said about the smile and yes the windshield is lower. I just order and recieved the larger Baggershield. With the top section on I can just see over the top other wise I like to feel the wind.
