With the V 8 engine right out in the open on a trike, is there a protective screen made for the front of the engine, other than a mud flap. Air should pass through but no sticks or stones can pass through ?

Most road debris will come off the front tire so a proper front fender should stop 90% if you want to protect the engine completely you need a hood..

Make your own with something like this, from https://www.amazon.com/stores/AggAu...65B1-4CA5-4EE6-BBD0-5FE9779BBB2A?ref_=ast_bln

I had a VW Dune and buggy and in order to pass the Jersey inspection 1971…72 and 73 I had to cover the exposed engine once I passed and left the inspection station I would just 86 the screen..

I got the engine screen from ; Rube Goldberg.Com….😉😉.

And from the looks of *Some* home made trikes I think Rube is still in business..😉😉
