Howdy,

I figured I would post about how I've set up my tender on my bike.

The first thing I want to say is that my wife and I have heated gear. And heated gear uses COAX instead of SAE. I decided I wanted a single connector for both tender charging and my heated gear. Also the COAX has the added benefits of allowing me to connect and disconnect with a single hand while I am still seated on the bike.

To do this; you need three parts:

1 SAE to COAX adaptor to change the Harley tender SAE connector to a COAX socket : http://firstgear-usa.com/heated/accessories/6-sae-connection-to-dc-coax-jack-adapter.html

1 SAE to COAX adaptor to change the tender/charger SAE connector to a COAX plug: http://firstgear-usa.com/heated/accessories/6-sae-connection-to-dc-coax-plug-adapter.html

1 COAX Panel Jack : http://firstgear-usa.com/6-dc-coax-jack-panel-mount.html

Now since my heated gear connects on the right side of the jacket, I decided to mount my panel jack on the right hand side panel.

Using a 3/4 drill, cut a single hole in the side panel. You can now screw the panel jack into the side panel. Use the SAE to COAX socket adapter to connect the Harley tender port to the plug on the Panel Jack.

Then put the SAE to COAX plug adaptor on the end of the tender cord so that it can now simply plug into the panel jack like this:
