CSC Rear Gear box Seal

Have a 2009 CSC conversion with a front seal on gearbox just beginning to weap gear oil. Not leaving any drips...yet. Has anyone had to replace one? Can it be done with avg. mechanical skills? (as in myself)

Did a Google search on this which led me to another GW forum and a person with same kit called CSC about getting the seal from them and CSC told them gearbox had to be removed and sent to them to be changed out.

Theres a very good trike dealer (Niehaus cycle) within 2 hrs from me. Theyre a CSC dealer and installer. Going to see what they have to say about sending it to CSC. Dont know why a certified dealer couldnt do it.

I dunno, seems to me the average guy could do this I have in the past but not lately
