I picked this up from another forum and thought someone here might benefit. I hope it helps if you need it. :xszpv::xszpv:

It appears to be a fairly common misstep in the recall. The directions do not tell the Dealer to check cruise control operation ... So they don't.

A Phillips tip screw driver and slight upward adjustment of the brake light switch and cruise cancel switch bracket mounted to the rear master should correct it.

It happened to me and I took it back. The tech made the 30 second adjustment and I was gone.
I could have done it if I knew then what I know now.

One other thing, I went on a 150 mile round trip without cruise after the recall work and it's tough to maintain a constant speed on a 1800.
I was beat when I got back home. Took it right back to the dealer and they made that 30 second adjustment I mentioned.

The point is: check your cruise control when leaving the dealer right after the recall is done.

After a recent brake line mod that I did to my trike...my cruise control stopped working also, and I just placed my toe under the brake pedal & lifted up while riding down the road & the cruise went back to working & has not stopped working.

Saturday we are going with a friend to pick up his trike from a dealer for the brake recall. We will certainly make sure he gives the cruise a couple of tries before we leave Abilene. If it doesn't work he might want to try this before he lets the dealer mess with it again.

We've decided not to do the recall just yet on our trikes. One of them just had the brake lines flushed late last summer and I don't want the dealer messing that good job up. It was done by a friend who is an expert at his own wrenching. The other one doesn't have many miles on the bike.

Thanks so much for all the info folks!!! ThumbUp
