cost of Aluma Trike trailer?

What kind of unit are you talking about. If it is an enclosed, 7x12 that price seems okay, maybe a little high. If it is an open trailer, I would suggest that price is way out of line. Keep in mind, aluminum trailers have the advantage of being light weight, but disadvantages when needing repairs.

Aluma Trailer

I bought the Aluma MC210 Motorcycle trailer. It is designed for two motorcycles and is slightly larger (Weight: 600# Bed Size: 78" x 138") than the TK-1 (Weight: 525# Bed Size: 63" x 137"). I paid $2900 for it in March 2015. The MC210 gives me flexibility to haul the trike or just about anything else within the trailer's weight limits and has a wider ramp for loading and unloading the trike.

the price being quoted to you for the TK-1 is out of line, apparently due to supply and demand. If the dealer has one on the lot, they may get that much for it. Most dealers will have to order it and will qoute you what they believe what the market will bear.

Don't know if you'll like this any better, but it's $3100. (Open).

Sorry it didn't come up as a link as I'd liked, but it will copy and paste into your browser OK.

I bought the TK-1 with electric brakes, spare tire, brake control installed and front tire mount installed (I supplied the mount ) for $3600 out the door. I have it in my garage with the ramp extended so I can pull on and off as I use the trike. I did install load levelers at the back of the trailer when parked. Some might think that is a little high but try and find a better trailer!

I'm happy so that is what counts for me.

I just took a look at the website for Toolshed of America. They are listing the TK-1 at a sale price of $2549! Must take delivery in Middletown PA.

That's what I bought - MC210. It allows more flexibility and I got mine for $2900.

ThumbUp Thats why i said if he can get a few hundred off list buy it.. I have the 7712-H I don't need the front shield, At times i trailer a small tractor with a back-hoe and bucket i put the bucket down on the tow bar..
The prices of Aluminum trailers are going up every year.. Somewhere he mentions.. 1800-2000, no way.

I bought the Wells Cargo 7x12 FT7121 enclosed V-Front last year for$3500 .Single axle with electric brakes. Very nice trailer , with the roadsmith Kit you need the length 12foot.

I bought a TK1 from Becker Auto in Beloit Kansas about 5 years ago. I bought the Trailer with wheel chock and spare tire, no trailer brakes, for about $2300, that was the best price I found anywhere at the time, I picked it up at the dealer, no shipping. Personally I think that $2549 is a good price.

Not planning on buying a trailer anytime soon. I prefer to ride the trike rather then trailer it. However, if I find the right deal, I'll snatch it up for future use.
seems that trailers are less expensive when you get away from the northeast.

Tom really doesn't want people to know, but this is his stool to get up in his trailer. I believe the color fits Tom to a tee! Maybe, the color goes with his Stallion! Ask Debbie?
Poor Tom, your secret is out!

Rosy, Actually I do believe that that little step stool was in your trunk when we left!! Not mine but we did have a good laugh about it when Deb put it by the Stallion to surprize me.

Hi Tomg,

I'm thinking about getting a trailer to haul my Stallion. I'm interested in the Aluma TK1 and see that you owe one. Was there any issues, like bottom clearances when loading or unloading your Stallion? At the point where the top of the ramp meets the bed of the trailer, is there enough clearance with the Stallion's frame bottom? Does the trailer need to be hooked up to your vehicle prior to loading and unloading your Stallion thus to prevent the trailer from raising at the tongue?

Regards,

Paul M.

No issues, I actually park on the trailer as now I can have the trailer out of the weather, store the Stallion on it only taking up one spot in the garage. I park it far enough in the garage to allow the ramp to be left extended. Ride on, ride off, love it!

Since I don't have a garage and will need to store my trike for the winter I pulled the string and purchased this. It will be making it's maiden voyage to Maggie Valley in 21 days!!The FLEET.jpg
