Coolant pump cover

I had the coolant pump changed on my 2015 Triglide, and would like to know if this cover from Kuryakyn will fit my bike with the new upgraded pump installed.

Contacted Kuryakyn and the guy that responded had no idea whatsoever.

I really can't help you but I know my 2018 trike cover doesn't look like that, I would imagine all covers for trikes are the same but I don't know for sure, you should be able to tell by picture if it will work on your 2015 if your 2015 looks sort of like that, I take it you haven't bought it yet, I know harley has a cover in chrome or at least it looks chrome from what I have heard, not sure I would put one on since it will get eat up in rock chips from front tire.

After reading the H D instructions on the updated pump, it offers no info on if a cover will fit, it is sad that Kury has no updated info

I am wondering if a tech @ your local H D dealer could answer this for you?

You are right about Kuryakyn. They should know their products a little better.

Guess I will wait and see if anyone else has tried to use the cover on their bike.

Larry, the HD microfiche parts break down does show the NEW pump part number but it does not show a NEW part number for the H D branded cover

I do know the pump was replaced on my 16 when I had it & the stock cover was put back on it. I would think if it is on your new pump, everything is same size.

I recently replaced my pump with the new style and the old cover fit back on, so I would think yes it will fit. What cover do you have on it now?

May be because you are looking at a different year than the OP is needing 2015 Triglide,

That's what I'm saying if the old cover works then the new cover would as long as it is for the correct year.

Well guys I ordered the Kuryakyn coolant pump cover from Amazon and it arrived yesterday. Tried to install it, and it will not fit my 2015 trike.

The slot on the inside of the cover will not engage with the tab on the pump bracket, and the new hoses keep it from going on.

I tried a couple of times , but it will not even fit over the regulator.

The web sites on Kuryakyn and Amazon say it will fit 2014-2016 Harley touring bikes, but it will not fit if you have had your pump replaced with the new style pump from Harley Davidson.

Thought I would let you know before you spend the money on something that does not work.

Don't know about Kury' But if their anything like J&P....If its has so much as a fingerprint on it they claim you tried to install it..And charge a restocking fee...J&P Did that to me years ago..

Yep, that's the one. It will not fit on the new coolant pump that Harley is using to replace the old Chinese piece of crap that is failing on all the 2014-2016 touring bikes.

Really sucks that Harley doesn't have a recall to replace all the old pumps. It's not like we bought a cheap motorcycle.

Makes me mad to have to spend over $800.00 to replace something that only had 10,500 miles on it.

If an automobile manufacturer did stuff like this they would not be in business very long.

Sorry about that Lawless, I know I have a store that is 5 miles away that I can return stuff from amazon if I have to, so far haven't had to.

Talking about coolant cover, I have hard time keeping my coolant cover pushed into the bottom part of it, if it wasn't for the way it hooks up on top I would have lost my coolant cover a long time ago, every so often I see it dangling, not sure how long it been that way but get on ground and push it back on. It is the stock cover by the way not aftermarket or the expensive wanna be chrome cover from harley

Thanks for the reply Trampas. Really sad that Kuryakyn doesn't know their products better. I have not had any trouble with the original cover coming loose. I just wanted to dress up the front end after getting the new pump installed. Kuryakyn and Amazon are no help when you have a question.

If you don't have a UPS near you Amazon will pick up returns at/from your door...Unless you ordered it from Amazon through a ''3 party'' vender......Which i will never do! just for that reason ..Returns...

Amazon did not offer that option. I had to take it to a store which accepted UPS packages and then had to pay return postage to Amazon.

I will be very selective about ordering from Amazon again.

Me too. On my 2018 I lost the cover while on a road trip in the UP of Michigan. Shout out to Bald Eagle H-D of Marquette, MI, who took one off a TG on the showroom floor to sell to me. It too became loose within a short time. I found a fix and it works great for me. There is a 'boss' 'tab' not sure what to call it or its purpose just to the rear of the bottom of the cover. I drilled a hole in the bottom of the cover and put a cable tie through the hole and over the boss/tab. Won't come off now!
