Colorado Trike Test

Well now that my wife has her new trike and I've enrolled her in a Trike Class, I set out to make her a little more comfortable. We go out to a church by us that has a large paved parking lot. She can now go through the gears(up to third - it's not that big of a lot). She can stop from 30mph quickly and can do some weaves. I tried to get the dimensions from the motor cycle school for the course she will have to take and you would have thought I was asking for instructions on how to build a nuclear weapon. They referred me to the DMV manual for motorcycles. It does have a few references for the trike but the course is for a 2 wheeler. I set up the weave as they have it. A cone every 12 feet, offset 1 foot alternating left and right of a straight line. I can't get the trike through that. It's physically impossible. So I'm wondering if anyone on here has any dimensions so I can get her more comfortable. Thanks.

As a lark I set up some stryrofoam cups as you discribe and took the trike through the "weave". Pretty much had to come at it perpendicular to the line of cones with a 180 at each side. More like going up a switchback mountain road than a weave. Sort of like the (rough) diagram below. The instructors probably wouldn't like it.

LOL ya that's what I did when I first set up the course. Guess most folks took the regular motor cycle test like I did years ago. Well rest assured I'll post the road test when we take it. So someone else can have a leg up.
