Cold weather (cool to you Yanquis) riding

I live in Texas and it does get kinda cold here. I ride in the mid 30's and above. I am looking for some gloves that still have the feel, but can keep my hands - fingers not cold when riding.

I have heard snowmobile gloves do the trick at 1/3 the cost of hi falutin motorclcle gloves.

Anyone using snowmobile gloves on their trike?

Get yourself a complete snowmobile suit and you're good to -30 degrees.

We ride our "Winter Goldwings" in all temps and weather conditions.
We do have handle bar heaters but that's it.

I always get my gloves when in Canada on business. I have had a pair of Kombi gloves for a couple of years now. 5 fingers and warm. Usually good down into the 20's. I also sometimes put rifle mitten covers over them for extra rain/wind protection. Some army surplus places would have them. Just ignore the trigger finger. When it drops into the teens I break out a pair of heavy duty all weather mittens to ride in. but be warned that it takes practice to operate controls with mittens....and you can't give the middle finger to people who cut you off! I've been riding all year for decades out of Long Island.

Guys, Thanks. I doubt if I will be riding in much -30 temps, but you never know about Mommy nature. Being retired Army, I went to an Army surplus store a couple years ago and bought some gloves. They advertised thinsulate, but my hands would have been warmer being bare skinned.

I will look for some snowmobile gloves. Jens, if I make it to Wisconsin in the winter (not likely) will you take me for a ride on that great looking ski?

I have gerbings heated jacket liner,union ridge outer pants and their electric gloves,also I ware a arai three quater flip shield helmit,when It gets real cold out I wear a ski mask under the helmit.
Since I have a 1500 with a leman kit and floor boards I wear a heavy pair of winter socks and a pair of insulated work boots to keep my feet warm.
I have rode at temputers down to eighteen degrees this way and stayed plenty warm.
Can not beat gerbings to keep you nice and toasty and warm.

Comanche, you get up and I sure will take you for a ride.
It's a great sport.
We put on over 3,000 miles every winter.
