A reverse trike for under $5K (add shipping) on Alibaba; interesting and might be a challenge to get spare parts but CHEAP:

Wonder how much shipping is . I have seen some videos of the Chinese cheap motorcycles and some got good reviews
If I could get one from amazon with free shipping id be interested ;)

Problem with most of the Chinese 2 or 3 wheel offerings is that the engine is a clone of the Honda 150cc engine which the patent(s) expired. The 150CC engine isn't capable of 2 or 3 wheel propulsion at highway speeds. My wife rode my sister-in-law's 2 wheel scooter up a side street near where my SIL lived. SIL encouraged her telling my wife it was just like riding a bike. Well... that was fine till it was time to turn the thing around in the street and with the floorboards my wife's feet didn't touch ground and she didn't know to lean over till a foot touched. Down she went. She like the idea of a scooter so I bought her a used Icebear trike for a reasonable price. Thing had the Honda-clone 150cc engine and topped at about 40mph. Not ideal for Texas roads so it never got ridden on roads with a 60mph speed limit. She bopped around the back roads but never out onto the highway so it ended up an ornament in our car port and got sold. If the Chinese seller says a trike will do 70mph I would take this with a grain of salt as I would want some way to verify. If the thing does not do 70mph and gets out onto a Hill Country highway (60 mph speed limit), it will get run over.

the ad says that it has a 400cc engine and can do 80KPH. It looks just like a Can Am F3 with bags
Title of the ad says 240kmh and in the "other attributes" 120 KM/H. Not even going to guess what the actual top speed is but if you buy one, you are likely to find out (and in for a surprise).

I would stay from away from these. I have been to China multiple times and you can and will get screwed if you don't know exactly who you're dealing with.
Parts for any Chinese vehicle are hit or miss. If it is an engine part for the Honda clone engines, not really a problem as these parts are available. Anything else? Call the seller and ask him about parts and will tell you that a part "MAY" be coming in the next shipping container of parts from China. Not sure how the tariff situation will affect Chinese-make vehicles. Note on Alibaba that some actually list their DOT certifications while most don't. Don't think there is a Chinese vehicle in my future especially using any powerplant that isn't a Honda clone; btw: the carburetors on the 150cc engines are actually Keihin clones and are pretty decent.

I will say the Chinese power sports stuff has come a long way over the years. About 2-1/2 years ago, I bought my son a used 2019 SSR SR70C dirt bike. It was in rough shape but I had no problem getting replacement parts to keep it running. It was a great way for him to learn how to ride. I think it was based off a Honda XR70. I got a bit tired of constantly maintaining that thing but he did get a lot of use out of it. I was fairly impressed with the SSR bikes so for Christmas last year, my daughter's, my ex-wife, and myself threw money together and got him a brand new SSR SR110. I will say that bike has been solid and only regular maintenance now.

Now for me, I had been looking at side by sides for the last year or so. Many were just out of my price range for what I wanted. I ended up buying a 2023 CFmoto Zforce 800 trail (Again another Chinese vehicle) and it had what I was looking for at a much better price. So far that thing has been a beast.

But as far as buying a Chinese power sports vehicle off internet from overseas, I think I would be a bit leery. I feel that having some local support in the form of a dealer helps ease my mind. And I used the same dealer to purchase both SSR dirt bikes as well as the CFmoto.

CF moto is big at the Harley dealer near me also. I still havent made up my mind on them yet nor can I actually afford one . Id love a side by side to go back to the black hills area and ride all the trails they have there but I doubt I can afford to .

I'm not saying there aren't some quality products coming out of China..there are for sure, but like George said, it is hit or miss. CF Moto has built a reputation for quality products and have done so by cloning Japanese technology. But for every CF Moto there are a hundred cheap knock-off companies that will mislead you and will leave you hanging with no recourse. The Chinese are ruthless business people.

Suggest that if anyone wants to amuse themselves elsewhere other than this site, check alibaba.com and look at the offerings.... hundreds of vehicles/motorcycles and just about everything you can think of. It is difficult to sort the good from not so good; I have heard of CFMOTO brand and know they are selling in the USA but some of those offerings are too darn cheap; many offerings you must buy a certain number or buy a "sample" which may be an option if you are really interested. Not sure what shipping cost for a motorcycle or trike of side-by-side would be but suspect you will need to figure out how to put the thing together when it arrives.

Much of the provided info conflicts such as engine size in title vs size listed in specifications so best to chat with the company you are considering I guess. As for me, have a trike and don't have discretionary funds to buy a new trike or a Chinese built toy of any sort. Gotta get my metal roof painted and after that my asphalt drive re-coated. Also, I have found that when I had multiple motorcycles, I ended up not riding them all equally and just doing more maintenance than I needed to be doing and paying Texas and the insurance company their cut in my funds.
