Champion Conversion Question

Need some help if anyone out there has had this problem, the lower door on the conversion is giving me trouble, was leaking so tried to adjust it several times, did the light check and all that. I got tired of adjusting on it so took it back to the dealer, they say it is fixed no more leaks but now it is very hard to shut, you have to slam it fairly hard to get it to lock. they say thats is how it has to be to keep from leaking. Any thoughts on this. Thanks in Advance.

I assume you mead the trunk door ? If so it does take a fair amount of force but not a heavy slam.

My Champion trunk door closes fairly hard, but then again it doesn't leak. I'd rather have the door a little hard to close versus having the door leak.

As the other said, mine also closes hard but doesn't leak.
When you close it, hold your hand tight against the top of the door until it's closed.

ME TOO. Mine closes fairly easy but I do have to hit both upper corners a good bump or the trunk light warning will come on.....Hasn't leaked though and I'm happy with that.

My 05 Champion needs a good, sharp push to close--no leaks.

yuppers... mine closes hard too... I also have to bump the upper corners to make the door open lite go out...no leaks though..I'll be happy with a tight fit.

Don't know how old your conversion is but, a couple things come to mind.
1. The seal may need replaced.
2. You should be able to gently push on the door and hear it "click".
Slamming may damage the latch!
However, my experience is not w/Champion. I have a Hannigan.

For what it's worth mine is hard to close but doesn't leak.

Same here - you have to slam it to get it to close good.
